You're going to be in Churchill to experience polar bears on the barren tundra. Why not take time out to explore the northern reaches of Canada's largest ecosystem on a snowmobile safari*? Covering more than half of the country, the fringes of Canada's boreal forest gently nudge the town of Churchill from the south. You'll set about on a snowmobile with an intimate group led by a qualified guide. A stark contrast from the desert-like tundra, the boreal forest is alive and teeming with frozen waterways, plant-life and small woodland creatures.
You'll cover a vast region and experience many tpyes of landscapes as the safari travels along trails through the forest to a heated prospector-style tent. Once at this encampment, enjoy warm beverages before making your way home. It really is quite exciting. A snowmobile safari is included in our Hotel-based Enthusiast program (tour Code: 29), also available as an add-on to many of our programs. Ask our Adventure Planners about adding a snowmobile component to your stay in Churchill.
